Composition Unigerm G-2 is a synergistic preservative complex, consisting of diazolidinyl urea and parabens, dissolved in propylene glycol, with following composition:
- Diazolidinyl Urea: 30%
- Methylparaben: 11%
- Propylparaben: 3%
- Propylene Glycol: 56%

Appearance Clear, colourless and slightly viscous liquid.

Solubility Soluble in aqueous ethanol as well as in pure and aqueous propylene glycol; soluble in water up to 1%; insoluble in lipids

Properties
- Unigerm G-2 is a synergistic preservative system, distinguished by an exceptional broad spectrum of activity.  Because of its well balanced composition, Unigerm G-2 shows solubility in water of up to 1%.
- Unigerm G-2 is compatible with virtually all kinds of ingredients used in cosmetics and is active within an unusually broad pH-range.
- Unigerm G-2 consists exclusively of microbiologically active components which have been tested toxicologically and dermatologically and found harmless.
- Unigerm G-2 has been dermatologically tested and is tolerated by the skin without problems.

Use As a preservative for all kinds of cosmetic products. Because of its
exceptional broad range of activity it can be used singly and does not
need to be combined with any other preservatives.

Dosage 0.5 - 1.6%
Maximum allowed concentration in a finished product within the EU is
1.6%.
